• 1928年、神戸の鈴木商店の後継会社として日商株式会社の商号をもって設立。

• 1968年、岩井産業株式会社と合併、これに伴い商号を日商岩井株式会社に変更。

• 1982年、日綿實業株式会社から商号をニチメン株式会社と変更。

• 2004年、ニチメン株式会社と日商岩井株式会社が合併し、双日株式会社が発足。同年、商号を双日ホールディングス株式会社に変更。
