- 1878年、塩野義三郎が大阪道修町にて薬種問屋、塩野義三郎商店を創業。
- 1910年、塩野製薬所(大阪市福島区)を建設。
- 1919年、塩野義三郎商店と塩野製薬所を合併、株式会社塩野義商店に改称。
- 1943年、塩野義製薬株式会社へ社名変更。
