- 1943年、政府指令により東京都をはじめ主要消費道府県に、燃料配給統制組合が設立。
- 1945年、全国の燃料配給統制組合を母体として、東京都京橋区に全国燃料組合連合会を創立。
- 1949年、全国燃料組合連合会の解散により、全国燃料団体連合会を創立。
- 1966年、 社団法人全国燃料協会に名称変更。
