- 1889年、兼松房治郎が、神戸に「豪州貿易兼松房治郎商店」を創業。
- 1891年、北川与平が「江商株式会社」の前身である「北川商店」を創業。
- 1918年、「株式会社兼松商店」に改組。
- 1934年、兼松羊毛研究所が設立（現在のカネヨウ株式会社）。
- 1943年、兼松株式会社に商号を変更。
