==アイシン精機株式会社==

Aisin Seiki's orgins lie within Tokai Hikoki Co., Ltd, an airplane engine manufacturer founded 1943. Tokai Hikoki was found by Kiichiro Toyoda, the same man who founded the Toyota Group, diversifying in a time when Toyota had just moved into the automotive industry (1933). After the war the companies principle outputs were sewing machines and automotive parts. In 1949 it would be rechristined Aichi Kogyo Co., Ltd, merging with Shinkawa Kogyo Co. Ltd, in 1965, to form Aisin Seiki. In 1970 Aisin Seiki established a joint venture in Germany with Zahnradfabrik Friedrichshafen by the name of Aisin-Warner Co, Ltd (currently Aisin AW Co, Ltd.). Over the rest of the 1970's Aisin Seiki established branches in Belgium, Brazil, Mexico, Singapore, Taiwan and the United States. Aisin Seiki has grown further since that time faltering a little in 1999 with the Japanese economy. It currently has 141 subsidiaries and has capital of 45 billion yen (as of March 31, 2007).
